The FoB came in a 4-pack of 16 oz. cans. The beer poured with a large white head. The sediment at the bottom was unexpected and made the beer slightly hazy. Auromas are of sweet malt and hops, with a slight citrus edge. Little to no oak in the auroma or flavor, however, there is a dryness about the beer. Medium cabonation with lent to a crisp mouth feel. Overall, a very nice dry-hopped lager.

16oz can while watching UFC 291

Great look, big fluffy head, unfiltered. Smells like twigs and lemons. Taste has a lot of woody character from the aging. It's also kinda fruity/citrusy... I assume from the hops. Dry, somewhat tart. Has a depth of character and flavor, but the bitterness and tree-laden flavor keep it from being entirely enjoyable. The fights were better

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, medium golden color with a moderate white head. SRM of 6. (3.75)

Aroma: Strong aromas of pale malts, some floral and grassy hops, and earthy pale malts. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong flavors of floral Ingrassia hops, some zesty citrus rind, crisp pale malts ,and yeast. Bitter and floral on the finish with even some tea qualities. (4.25)

Feel: Medium bodied, strong carbonation, finishes crisp, leans bitter. (4.25)

Compared to Evil Twin Hoppy Pilsner Conditioned on American Oak Foudre 7/2023: Pours darker, milder head. Similar aromas. Less earthy, grassy, oaky notes. More bitter lemonflower zest. Crisper, more bitter and dry. Very similar.

to Insight Avant 7/2023: Pours similar. Milder aromas. More flower, lemon zest. Less earthy, grassy. More bitter and crisp.

to Surly Hell 7/2023: More earthy, floral, and bitter. Less lemonbread and grains. More bitter and crisp.

Overall: Excellent Pilsner from Modist. Incredibly hoppy, floral, bitter. Even with some tea notes. Can definitely appreciate the dry-hopping. Not appreciating as much oak as I'd expect. Excellent hoppy Pilsner. (Rating: 4.16)

Can. White head with some lace. Cloudy golden color.

Crisp, clean, dry, grassy, hoppy, zesty, biscuity, bready. Really solid pils. Tastes like all the others from this series, which is nice. Smooth, drinkable, and great flavors.
