Denny’s, IHOP, and Waffle House; what do all of these have in common? 24-hour breakfast. Which we think is a pretty splendid thing. We’ve all been there, 3 AM in our early 20s and the bars have all closed but you don’t want to go home. So you go get Breffix.

Introducing Breffix, a 24-Hour Breakfast Stout with barley, crystal malt, roasted malt, Wildflyer coffee, maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla bean & oat milk.

From a 12oz can. Canned on 09/30/2025

This beer is pitch black looking with no light at all shining through the glass. The carbonation in the beer produces a 1 finger tan colored head. The head has damn good retention, and plenty of sticky lacing on the glass.
The aroma is quite pleasing to my nose. The beer is so full of roasted coffee aroma. The coffee is added on to by dark chocolate notes. There's notes of sweetness that also come through the nose with brown sugar tones. All aroma notes work very well together.
The flavor is mostly coffee. This flavor hits hard, and right off the bat. The coffee flavor does linger, and is added on to on the back with notes of chocolate, vanilla and brown sugar. There's a faint bitterness that adds another layer to this beer on the finish.
The body could be a hair thicker, but is not thin by any stretch of the imagination. There's is a clingy feeling to this beer.
This is a delicious and well made breakfast beer. Totally tasty.

Looked a bit thin for the pour but it was a burst of carbonation a full two inches of foam atop a very solid looking dark ale. Wow the smell! Like breakfast is their nobody else noting the maple bacon smell? VERY smoke meat forward with some balanced sweet malts leading to some maple syrup and milk sugars. Very interesting the syrup is mostly dominant with a bit of coffee roast and some decent vanilla way less smoke unless its from the coffee but man I expected sweetness throughout because the finish has a bit of bitter aggressive hop bite that just wasn't sitting that well almost medicinal. Body is on par for 8% slick smooth easy drinking but man they need to tweak the recipe to make it more bakers chocolate rather than a hoppy dark this would be a winner! Also hoping the blueberry variant which I will be having next will be more balanced,

Appearance: Dark brown, good head.

Smell: Coffee, sugar sweetness.

Taste: Starts sweet, then stays sweet and adds moderate coffee and brown sugar. Pretty light body for 8%, almost watery feel. The coffee and brown sugar stick around through the finish.

Overall: This was discounted so picked up a 4 pack. I don't think it is too old but the flavors don't seem to mesh together too well, and the body seems way too light. Tastes decent enough though.

Pours inky black with a thick but short-lived tan head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt, chocolate and burnt coffee. Flavor is very coffee forward, some chocolate and vanilla with a hint of maple. A hint of sweetness. Feel is rather thin for a stout, lightly carbonated. Overall, a very nice breakfast stout.

12oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace. It smelled of coffee, maple syrup, vanilla and sweet chocolate. Great maple taste with coffee, chocolate, vanilla and malt.

A - Pours a dark black body with brown highlights, opaque, with a short light tan head, dense but pretty quick to fade, leaving a thin cap and thicker rim. Lots of very fine bubble lacing.

S - Strong hit of coffee, doughy malt notes, and a maple line. Dark chocolate and vanilla offers a tart, dessert counterpoint to the breakfast theme.

T - Follows that nose, with a strong chocolate hit in the open, cheap coffee and malty pancake and maple goodness through the middle. The finish is slightly bitter, more chocolate and coffee than hop notes, but the result is a welcome contrast to the sweeter notes previous.

M - Moderate weight, solid carbonation, with a dry, clean finish that makes this a surprisingly easy breakfast stout to drink.

O - A solidly built stout, with nice flavor accents, that lands effectively as a drinkable stout with coffee, chocolate and maple accents. I like it, certainly.

12oz can. Bottom stamp is '10/06/23' for canning date.
Dark brown colored body, with a red mahogany back lit edge. Dark beige head, about two fingers, retreats to an interrupted cap and ring. Leaves a few scattered short strings of lacing.
Aroma is carried by the dark roast coffee. Some nose notes of maple/brown sugar and a sweet note from vanilla.
Taste is carried by the dark roast coffee, with interludes of vanilla and maple/brown sugar. More balance in the aftertaste between the bitter and sweet.
A little more than medium mouthfeel. Smooth with a slight syrup quality. Supportive carbonation.
Coffee forward ale.

Aroma is brown sugar, coffee, maple, vanilla and roast malt. Taste is coffee, maple, brown sugar, and roast malt, slightly sweet, equally bitter. Decent mouthfeel with appropriate carbonation. Overall excellent.
