Modist. The electric blue wax is beautiful on this 500ML bottle, but no need to slather it on like you’re trying to contain malaria. PITA to pry off.
Black. Head. Noses old style: bourbon & malt. Dead stop.
Deepening. A great name for the lightless depths of these malts that are holistically sweet, slightly nutty with a dash of cocoa. Bourbon comes on strong & my insides eventually begin to turn to bourbon. I’m pretty sure. Burps taste nice too. Big, thick, rich & drinkable as sin.
You don’t need the bikinis & social media flash & makeup. Just malts & a barrel. Excellent beer.

On tap. No head. Black color. Thick and oily.
This is incredible. I’m picking up graham crackers and honey. Char and cocoa. Some fudge, molasses, vanilla. Not overly thick and cloying for 14%. Really nice feel. Love the char and roast levels. Smooth, with nice warming bourbon. Everything is well balanced. One of Modists best imo.
