At the tap room, into a snifter, looks like an awesome maibock: fairly clear with a very slight cloudiness, honeyed amber, beautiful pill-white 1 finger of tight bubbly head, very good lacing. Nose is kind of underdeveloped...fermented malt that is kind of bready, not that sweet, just a little non-descript. Fresh spring field smell, though. Taste brings more: less sticky and sweet than many in the style, but the bready malts are kind of rich and interesting...if there is honey in there, it is not very sweet. I do get a little interesting and slightly sweet yeast that sits and lingers, and that's enjoyable. Medium body, medium carbonation. Comes to a little bit of a point on the finish. Kind of an interesting entry in the maibock field. I definitely enjoyed it.
