Sample on tap from Other Half Stout Season Festival.
Herbal Nose. Hazelnut, vanilla, cognac, dark chocolate....also maybe Spearamint? , Coconut?
This one is very weird, but also delicious and one of the best I've had at this festival.

Poured from the bottle at the brewery. Jet black, slightly syrupy with almost no head. It does have legs after a quick swirl of the glass. The nose is big and complex, very sweet smelling. The banana stands out the most with maple syrup, vanilla, some chocolate as well. It was less sweet than it smelled with a very well balanced mix of real banana, maple syrup, vanilla, some chocolate, and bourbon. Smooth feeling, slightly syrupy, but warming. However, it doesn't feel anywhere as heavy as it actually is. Overall, amazing collaboration! I would bet this would be even smoother after another year or two.

At the tap room, into a snifter. Abv is ridiculous, but it isn't apparent..no heat, whatsoever. Look is a very deep dark black, no light at the edges when held up to the light, no head whatsoever. Nose: lots of funky banana, maple syrup. Taste carries the nose forward...there's also more cake batter and frosting..everything is sweeter, really, including the banana. Overly loaded...a little too much for me, tbh, but I'm glad I tried it.

Not much head. Dark brown, black color.
Maple syrup, bourbon, coconut, vanilla, fudge, cake batter. Bourbon, oak, light char. Big barrels, big adjuncts. Roasty, but not burnt. The bananas even show a bit. Definitely has an other half influence to it.
Sweet, but warming. Smooth for how strong it is. Thick, full bodied. Delicious.
