Unfiltered ddh oak aged Pilsner for F44!
White head with lace. Cloudy golden straw yellow.
Biscuits, bread, and hops. Grassy, floral, zesty, spicy. Smooth, some bitterness. Such a crusher. Maybe even a touch of citrus/fruit.
Very well done. Tons of flavor for a lower abv beer.

A - Semi-transparent golden body, with a milky haze, a substantial white head on the pour that fades to a thick, rocky cap and extensive medium bubble lacing.
S - Strong hit of wood from the oak, pungent spice and grass from the hops, a softer malty note underpinning it all.
T - Opens with a fruity note, green grape that turns into something akin to white wine as the oak comes in, the malty sweetness strengthening accented with earthiness and floral elements, and a peppery bitterness in the finish.
M - Decent carbonation, pretty solid weight in light of the ABV, and a dry, clean finish.
O - I am a fan of Modist's lager work. The DDH aspect here offers interesting contrasts to a standard Pilsner. The result is more than a sum of these parts. It is a well-integrated brew that can appeal to traditional and modern palates alike.
