Modist Peanut Butter Second Breffix Imperial Pastry Stout, 10% ABV. Pours deep brownish black with a four-finger light-brown head that left lots of lacing. Aroma is peanut butter, maple syrup, and coffee. Taste follows, peanut butter up front, North of moderately sweet, slightly bitter, maple syrup in the aftertaste. Decent enough mouthfeel, overall excellent.

I tried a 4oz pour of this beer off the tapper at the downtown Minneapolis location whilst in town for a trade expo. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that left some lace. The scent had peanut butter and dark chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dark chocolate malt base with peanut butter and roast presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

On tap at Whole Foods Market, which I believe makes it healthy.
