The Noble Breakfast Oatmeal Coffee Stout

a delicious coffee beer from this inspired little brewery, my favorite of the several we enjoyed in here. they serve it up beautifully in a small stemless wine glass vessel, very dark soft looking base with an almost nitro looking head, creamy and lasting, off white, high contrast, high appeal. aroma is fresh coffee, none of the acidic on its way to stale coffee that sometimes defines these types. the oats add a lot to the flavor here, more than just body, but a starchy earthiness thats a great platform for the java, which is at least as flavorful throughout this one as the dark grains are, again, very fresh. notes of dark chocolate, roasted seeds of some kind, nutty like that, and espresso. not overly complex, but brilliantly proportioned, and apparently designed for drinking a whole bunch of. if no, it nails that mark, this is interesting and balanced and delicious and very dry, which for me means keep them coming! lively enough on the feel, good body but not heavy, and very obviously made by someone who knows very well what they are doing. so glad i stopped in here, i was impressed with the whole operation, and this was their top beer in my opinion. these guys should not be under the radar with beer this good! one of my favorite coffee beers i had while in florida last week.
