Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of yeast, malts. Taste follows the aroma, spices are present. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall this is a pretty good beer.

Poured into a goblet: color is gold, head is off white, presents 1/2 inch thick then dissipates to nothing on top with light ring on the side.
Smell is light sweet malt, toast, belgian yeast, esters, light yeast spiciness, subtle pepperiness.
Taste is light sweet malt, toast, belgian yeast, esters, more dominant yeast spice, light pepperiness.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low/moderate bitterness.
Overall a solid, sweeter blonde style belgian, with some light spice and toasted malts.

Poured from undated can into Slack Tide tulip glass. It pours a cloudy, honey-amber color with almost a full finger of fluffy, bright white head and substantial, spotty lacing. The smell is classic Belgian: banana, clove, coriander, lemon, and Belgian yeast. The taste is dry and crisp with lots of clove, coriander, and pepper. There seems to be less fruit in the taste than in the smell. As the glass warms, I taste more banana and just a hint of sweet citrus. It finishes peppery and with more than a little bitterness. It drinks crisp and champagne-like with lively carbonation, and the 7.3% ABV gives it nice substance. Overall, I think Slack Tide has improved Bell Buoy since it was first brewed. The spicing is fine; I'd like to see a bit more banana.
