On draught at the brewery. It pours a bright, tangerine-yellow color with a small, milk-white cap and thin film of lacing inside the glass. The smell features grapefruit, lemon, lime, tangerine, and whiffs of pine needles and floral hops. It's a fruit bomb with big flavors of tart lemon, lime, and grapefruit along with sweeter notes of pineapple and tangerine. The New Zealand hops (not specifically identified) are fruity and not very bitter. This ale is creamy and viscous with moderate carbonation, and its 8.8% ABV gives it significant heft. Overall, Thermocline is a very good DIPA packed with fruit flavor and a terrific mouth feel. It's a pleasure to drink!
