This is our interpretation of a classic German Märzen beer. This lager beer is typically brewed in the early fall to celebrate the annual Oktoberfest in Germany. This beer is rich in malt flavor and hopped with noble hops. With a crisp copper color this beer is highly drinkable and the perfect way to celebrate the coming of Fall. PROST!!

pretty good marzen...decent flavor but not incredible depth. if you like marzens this one is average+ effort. Slack Tides are pretty solid all around so add this one to your list.

2019. Poured from 12. oz. can into a pint glass. It pours a lovely, rosy-copper color with over a finger of frothy, eggshell-colored head and thick, soapy lacing. The nose features caramel malt, nuts, tobacco, and spices. There is a lot to the taste! It opens with fairly sweet caramel malt but it quickly turns earthy with burnt nuts, char, tobacco, and spices. It finishes with a surprising amount of bitterness. The flavor is complex and pleasing. It has a rich, creamy mouth feel with moderate carbonation, and it's super drinkable at 5.3% ABV. Overall, Slacktoberfest is an outstanding Märzen. It combines many flavors seamlessly and despite its low ABV it has real substance. Slack Tide once again proves its versatility and brewing skill.
