The clear, deep tan can pour hosts a 1 cm cap of white foam and an aroma of grapefruit and loam.
The flavor is of earthy and woody hop notes with a background of grapefruit zest. The hop bitterness is light to moderate.
The finish is very clean and crisp.

On tap in a standard pint glass at some joint near Stockton University.
Nice looking deep golden color topped with a 1f creamy cream white cap. Durable head stays thick throughout and leaves wall coverage lacing.
Citrus and mild pine aromas. Toasted pine nut malt aroma develops as it warms.
Strong grapefruit and lemon flavored bitterness. The malt holds up through the strong hops, dry and toasty.
Medium bodied semi-dry malt. Pucker up bitterness.
All the way American IPA. Smooth 6.5% abv. I’d like another.

Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a clear, bright golden-straw color with a creamy, bright white head and thick, clinging lacing. It's nose is somewhat subdued and offers grapefruit, lemon, and just a whiff of sweeter fruit as it warms. The taste opens sweeter than the smell would indicate. There is a good balance of bitter grapefruit rind and tart lemon, on the one hand, and notes of sweet berry on the other. And as it warms there is additional tropical fruit sweetness that's obvious but hard to identify. This ale is lite, crisp, and refreshing with pleasant carbonation and an easy drinking 6.5% ABV. Overall, I like this a lot. I was told that it's becoming a "year-round" offering a Slack Tide, which is reason to celebrate.
