Pours an amber brown color. Lightly cloudy. Three finger off-white head forms on the beer, lingers for a moment, then dissipates leaving just a thin layer of residual foam on the beer. Aroma has notes of nutty malts, lightly toasted dark bread, and a light fruity note.
Taste follows the nose with notes of toasted malts, bread, some nutty notes giving way to a very subtle earthy hoppiness. Feel is light, easy drinking. Moderate carbonation.
Overall its a solid Irish red ale, very accessible, albeit lacking vibrancy.

Reddish-amber body, mildly cloudy; excellent thick, rocky head. Beautiful toasted grain nose. warm bread crust. Well-rounded grainy flavor; malty; bread crust; subtly sweet; very mild bitterness. Medium body; light tingle on the palate; gently warm feel; semi-dry at the finish.
I love a simple, straight-forward beer, and this Irish red ale fits the bill nicely. Malt-forward, slightly bitter with a very moderate sweetness. An easy drinking and crushable beer.
Pouring temperature: 46 °F; canning data: unknown

Pours a nice brownish red, slightly opaque, big fully and billowy had that never ends, pretty nice lacing.
Nose is a nice mix and nutty malts with a little bit for dark fruit sweetness.
Taste has a lot going on and it’s all nicely balanced. Some toasty bread, dried dark fruit, nuttiness and spicy hop note on the finish.
Light body, almost with some sort of twang to it; thanks to those dark fruit notes. subtle bitterness on the finish rounds this one out nicely.
This is a very good beer and wow will I continue to buy this brewery.

Pint on draught at the brewery. Served in a pint glass. It pours an almost clear, iced tea color with a thin, ecru-colored head and lacing. The smell is malty with caramel and a hint of cherry. A classic nose for the style if a bit subdued. Its taste is outstanding! Rich, caramel malt, nutty, earthy, with the right touch of cherry and apple, and a hint of char and spicy hops. It's extremely flavorful and well-balanced. The mouth feel is surprisingly thick and creamy for 5.3% with appropriate carbonation. Overall, Paddy's Hole is a fine example of an Irish Red Ale; one of the best local ones I've had.
