This version of Haywire Twist, our fruited kettle sour series, combines pineapple, tangerine, apricot and coconut. This fruited sour ale is tropical and juicy with a tart sour finish reminiscent of a fruity pina colada. The result is a very refreshing beer with a 4.9 % ABV.

On draught at the brewery. It pours a dense, pastel yellow-tangerine color with a half finger of foamy, bright white head and creamy film of lacing. The nose is highly fruit. I can distinctly smell the pineapple but the other fruits blend together. There is also a faint - but discernible - smell of coconut. The coconut really makes the flavor of this beer. The fruity taste is strong but it's hard to distinguish among the various flavors. The fruit is sweet and ripe. The coconut nicely overlays the fruit flavor but without dominating. The mouth feel is thick and creamy with moderate carbonation, and the 4.9% ABV is barely noticeable. It's very easy to drink. Overall, I think this is the most ambitious variant of Haywire Twist to date. The fruit is big and ripe and the coconut taste brings order to the fruity chaos. This was a wonderful beer to drink on a 90+° day. It was just released and I will consider purchasing cans.
