A: pours a slightly hazy deep golden body (near-amber) with an excitable white head that quickly fades to a soapy patched cap, leaving scattered soapy foam lacing along the way
S: fresh cut grass with a side of earthy pine, a splash of grapefruit and orange citrus shades, and a light caramel tinged malt backbone. the hop aroma blooms nicely as it sits.
T: sticky caramel and earthy pine hop with a dash of grapefruit citrus. fairly resinous.
F: high carbonation with a medium-to-light body. clean dry finish.
Overall (personal opinion):
in the same sandbox as the Stone that obviously inspired it, but not as "harsh" or "all up in ya" as the Father of the West Coast IPA. this was very enjoyable to sit and sip on, which I believe to have been their aim. it won't stick out at you and doesn't demand attention, but it is an old standby for sure. wanna session but don't want piss beer and have an affection for IPAs of the classic variety? get on it. especially if you're a local - don't settle for less right now, and support your local heroes.
well done, WB.

Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance - The beer pours a clear amber color with a tiny white head. The head fades fast to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma of the brew is light overall with a little bit of caramel and citrus hop.
Taste - The taste begins with a crisp malt flavor with a nice citrus hop taste. As the taste advances some light pine and a bit of earth come to the tongue, and leave on with a nice crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is medium. For the mild tastes of the brew and the crisp malt the feel is great and makes for a easy drinking brew.
Overall- A nice easy drinking brew overall, with a feel that matches the taste rather well. A good brew that is well worth a try!
