On draught at the brewery. It pours inky black with walnut hues when held to the light. The pretty mocha head dissipated quickly leaving a thin coating of lacing on the glass. Its fragrant nose features freshly-brewed coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, and nuts. The taste opens with rich, fresh coffee, and cocoa, along with roasted malt, vanilla, and almonds. As the glass warms the chocolate becomes more noticeable. All of the flavors work really well together. There's a slight char at the finish. It's really tasty. This is one of the creamiest milk stouts I've had the pleasure to drink. The feel is delightful with moderate carbonation, and at 5.5% ABV a second pour is a must. Overall, this is one of my all-time favorite milk stouts. It's simply a pleasure to drink. I'm looking forward to the next time TE cans Diamonds and Pearls.

Appearance: pours a dark brown color with a 2" head that slowly falls to a spotty surface covering.
Smell: light roasted tones and a bit of chocolate comes through to the nose.
Taste: Roasted malts, milk chocolate, raisins, and and a mild bitterness rounds it out.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp to start, smoother at this finish.
Overall: a very enjoyable stout that is easy to consume and hits the spot.

a: silky matte black color with a very pretty 2 finger tan solid head. looks like you could rest a coin on it
s: roasted malts, huge milk chocolate, a definite milk sweetness, brown sugar, and oak. i will say this - for a coffee milk stout, i'm not getting much coffee in the nose
t: sweet milk chocolate, roasted malts, slightly bitter dark chocolate, sugar, mild coffee bean skin. the finish is sweet with more roasted malt and the coffee. i pick up the coffee more towards the end of the mouth
m: lighter side of medium with medium carbonation
o: for a coffee beer, its a touch light on the coffee. the finish has a mild coffee flavor but the milk sweetness definitely is overriding the bitterness from the roast and coffee. the coffee that is in here is subtle, slightly green. it is a milk stout though, so i would expect that from this beer. the coffee in here is more of a supporting character than the protagonist; which is fine - this is a milk stout
