a: ultra-murky matte yellow/burnt orange color. 1/2 finger tan solid head. looks like you could rest a coin on it
s: pineapple, mango, grapefruit, caramel, strawberries, juicy apricots, fresh biscuits, and just a hint of grassy hops
t: grassy hops, grapefruit, pineapple & mango, sweet citrus, and a nice bready punch. there is also a sweeter, maltier presence in here as well that you pick up in many DIPA's. not quite syrup-like, but close. it's nice to have on the back end there a little bit of sweetness
m: medium mouthfeel. not much carbonation, but it doesn't need much. similar to a DIPA, as mentioned before, but doesn't have that syrup presence in the mouth
o: interesting mix here. has characteristics of an IPA and a DIPA, but they are brought together nicely here so that there is balance and harmonization. worth a try for sure

nice mouthfeel, but very on the malt-forward side. hops lend a nice bitterness, but nothing stands out in terms of floral or dank aroma. this is a fine drinker, but would prefer less malt upfront and more floral hops in the taste. prominent malts tend to make IPAs like this one lose the luster of being fresh...

I had this on draught at the brewery. It pours a pretty, clear orange-amber color with a milk-white head and lacing. It smells of sweet malt and grapefruit. The taste features a strong malt backbone with l nice dose of grapefruit, as well as nuts. It is earthy and finishes slightly bitter. This ale is medium-bodied, lightly carbonated, and the ABV of 7.2% seems just right. It's substantive but easy to drink. I'd like to see a little more fruitiness in this IPA but it has a solid base upon which to build.
