On draught at the brewery. It pours an opaque, pale straw color with a slightly green hue and a thin, milky head that dissipated quickly leaving almost no lacing. The nose is surprisingly subdued: mostly coriander, clove, tobacco, and some faint fruit. However, as the glass warmed there is an increased aroma of banana. The taste is straight-forward Saison with lots of bready banana, coriander, clove and lemon peel up front, then a lot of wheat cracker. It finishes with pepper and Belgian spicing. While all of the expected tastes are present, they are rather muted. This is a crisp farmhouse ale with lively carbonation. While only 5.2% AVB, the heavy carbonation is an impediment to drinking too much. Overall, this is a solid Saison, a style that Twin Elephant brews a lot. My advice would be to tone down the carbonation and accentuate the farmhouse flavors.

A: foggy gold color with a bright white head
S: oak, lots of grains, sweet lemons, pepper, and a nice malt presence. Bold spices in the aroma, more than I would have expected from an ABV of this level
T: sweet citrus, lemongrass, pepper, grains, and a touch of wood. A little floral on the backend
M: light. Carbonation is a bit lower than I expected from a saison
O: It's a light flavor - which I expected from a table beer, but it's not too light or watery. Good for the hot weather and drinking more than 1
