Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a pretty, dark walnut color with a half finger of foamy, light mocha colored head that dissipated slowly leaving a small cap, and a thin coating of creamy lacing inside the glass. Its pleasant nose features roasted malt, fresh coffee, milk chocolate, and nuts. It's nicely aromatic. What a taste! It opens with sweet milk chocolate, freshly brewed coffee, and coconut up front, followed by earthy tobacco notes, nuts, and slight char and bitterness at the finish. The flavors and big and bold but they blend very nicely. It tastes like a candy bar. For a Porter, it has a nice, creamy body with moderate carbonation, and I like the 6.4% ABV which gives it more substance than most Milk/Coffee Porters I've had. Overall, this is a first a first rate American Porter with lots of flavor and an excellent mouth feel. Twin Elephant does a very nice job with coffee-flavored dark beers and La Di Da Di is worth seeking out. It's a great candidate for canning.

A: murky dark brown/black mixture. Some light at the bottom. Head is solid white

S: tons of freshly roast coffee, lactose, roast malt, some tobacco as well. Real nice aroma here

T: milky lactose sweetness and milk chocolate upfront. Smooth coffee and wood behind that. There is a sweet malt presence behind that as well, along with a hint of cola. Finish is a nice combination of sweet lactose and some bitter roast malt

M: medium mouth that is a bit silky. Carbonation level is high, just what I want in a porter

O: Twin Elephant makes solid coffee beers, and this is no exception. Smooth and well balanced porter. Sweet, bitter, and a nice coffee presence.
