Pint on draught at the brewery. It has a classic Pale Ale appearance, pouring a pale, pastel yellow color with a large, creamy, bright white cap and modest film of lacing. Its fragrant nose features lemon, lime, red berry, and oats. The taste opens surprisingly tart and bitter, which I suspect comes from the Centennial hops. I first taste lemon peel and grapefruit rind followed by dry white wine grape. It's grassy and slightly sour. As the glass warms, however, I begin to taste some balancing sweetness with notes of berry and oats. The mouthfeel is lite, crisp, and well-carbonated and it drinks easily at 5.6% ABV. Overall, The Mighty Winooski is a well-crafted APA but most definitely on the tart side. The Nelson hops add interesting wine notes. It has almost Brut quality. Well done!

A: clear dark yellow color with some caramel color toward the middle. Thin white head
S: pineapple, mango, grains, grass, sweet orange
T: grapefruit, orange zest, lemongrass, and caramel. There is a nice bitter presence in here as well. Some more bitter citrus to finish
M: medium mouth with a nice level of carbonation
O: nice pale ale. Light but bitter. Drinkable and smooth. Just what you want from a Pale Ale
