On draught at the brewery. It pours nearly black with walnut hues and almost a finger of long-lasting, creamy, khaki-colored head and a thin, creamy coating of lacing. It's an attractive pour. The nose is nicely fragrant with scents of freshly-brewed coffee, cocoa, roasted malt, and nuts. The taste is not as sweet as the smell would indicate. There's burnt coffee and espresso beans, baker's chocolate, earthy char, and nuts. It's slightly acidic and the chocolate became more prevalent as the glass warmed. The tastes blend really well. It features a nice body for a Milk Stout: fairly creamy with moderate carbonation. Compared to many lighter Milk Stouts, its 6.2% ABV gives it character but a second pour is a must. Overall, this is a substantial Milk Stout both in taste and feel. Very nicely done!

A: dark, matte jet black color. Not light penetrating. Thin, tan head
S: hugeeeeee freshly roasted coffee. Roasted malts and dark chocolate. The faintest hint of lactose sweetness at the end
T: fresh coffee dominant at the front. Dark chocolate and milk chocolate along with that. A hint of sweetness to balance that bitter coffee. Some roasted malts to finish
M: medium mouth with medium carbonation
O: having this on tap day 1. It’s super coffee-forward, like sipping your morning coffee with some malts. This give fresh FBS a run for its coffee-ness (is that a word?)
