Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a turbid, yellow cream color with almost a finger of fluffy, bright white head and spotty lacing. It has a classic NE look. On the nose there is lemon and grapefruit, grass, and aromatic hops. The taste opens with tart, bitter lemon and grapefruit rind. There is also a subtle melon sweetness and a touch of cracker malt. The bill of Galaxy, Enigma, and Citra hops adds lots of flavor and moderate bitterness. It's very dry and grassy and finishes with a dose of pepper and astringency. For an APA it has a rather rich, full, creamy feel with a pleasant level of carbonation. At 5.9% ABV it's an easy drinker. Overall, this is a bitter, dry pale ale with lots of hop flavor. It would benefit from a little more tropical fruit presence to balance the bitterness and astringency. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. It will be interesting to see whether Twin Elephant tinkers with the recipe, as it often does.

A: murky and hazy pale, muted orange color with a real nice 1 finger frothy white head
S: melon, mango, pineapple. Dry cracker and strawberry behind that. A hint of peach and creamsicle in here as well. A touch of grapefruit at the end
T: pineapple, grapefruit, and some herbal hops on the front of the tongue. Melon and sweet orange zest behind that. A little raw hop burn makes its way into the end, with a touch of malt sweetness
M: super fluffy medium mouthfeel with low carbonation
O: solid APA. Not too heavy, with a nice balance of hops. Easy to drink with a nice NE mouthfeel
