Yes . . . this beer has a soul. These sun-kissed digits represent our contemporary take on a classic ESB with a carrot cake inspired arrangement of spices. Sweet and flavorful freckled magic with gingery undertones. Notes of caramel, toffee, ginger, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a murky, orange-brown color - it looks like apple cider. And it sports a thin, milk-white head and minimal lacing. It has a spicy nose featuring ginger, cinnamon, and toffee. The beer is supposed to simulate carrot cake. And it offers a nice balance between ginger and cinnamon - which give it a tangy pop - and the traditional caramel and toffee of an ESB. It's not overly sweet and there is a hint of hoppy bitterness at the finish. The taste is really original for the style. The mouth feel is lite and crisp in keeping with the style. But it has a fairly high level of carbonation. The 5% ABV is appropriate for an ESB and allows for very easy drinking. Overall, Ginger Fingers is a novel and fun take on the traditional Extra Special Bitter. Twin Elephant likes to tinker with this style to great effect. Try this beer if you get the chance.
