Bright white head cresting a bit over one finger, doesn't sustain long, close to zero lacing. The liquid is more murky than opaque, pale yellow with some fine particulate, lazy dispersed bubbles. Crisp nose of pretzel, salt, and quinine, stiffened further by white grapefruit pith, the apricot, kumquat, mango fruit scents are sedate. For a drier style of IPA it's on the heavy side, helped by prickly carbonation. Much earthier and more herbaceous here but not a wet, leafy dankness. Very savory. Fruit even less evident here whereas citrus takes a couple of steps forward. Good balance, arguably gets creamier through the finish, especially as warming. 6.6% is respectable too. Very much like it, don't love it, a style of IPA I need to delve back into.

Traded for this a while ago as this was the first beer from Twin Elephant that I've ever had. Heard about them for years but never got around to having one and although this wasn't anything outstanding or memorable, this was a fine West Coast IPA that hid the alcohol well and checked off all of the proverbial boxes in the process.
Just like it's left coast counterparts, this had a golden hue to it that appeared to be a bit waxy as this was certainly a thick and full-bodied beer. Pilsner Malt, wheat, pine, and a hint of weed were in the nose as the taste was plenty tangy from the tangerine and clementine with cracker underneath that. Yes, this had enough malt and bite to it with an undertone of fresh-cut grass and dank weed in the aftertaste as this felt like a Pale Ale from California and not something from the next county over. This wasn't bad as much as it was *almost* categorized incorrectly on here, but that's only because of what I've come to expect from an IPA these days.
No sediment was seen in the liquid as this held up well since it was canned. That was on 7/15 with "TROGDOR" written underneath that though I have no idea what that means! The Pilsner and Wheat gave this a slightly dry aftertaste but overall, this would be a great beer to kick back with during a mild week such as this. Easy but solidly crafted at the same time, this was a nice first impression from Twin Elephant that wasn't quite like what I've come to expect from a Jersey brew. Worth having on the lawn before the seasons change!

Poured from 16 oz. can into a pint glass. It pours a cloudy, bright, golden-honey color with a large, creamy, milk-white cap and thick, luxurious lacing. While it's not exactly hazy it's not quite West Coast either. The smell offers orange/tangerine, grapefruit, lemon peel, and floral hops. Its taste opens with dry lemon, grapefruit, and subtle notes of orange, peach, wheat cracker, and cannabis. There is minimal hop bitterness and it has a clean finish. The Citra hops are evident but don't overpower. The mouth feel is lite and crisp with moderate carbonation, and it drinks easily at 7.6% ABV. Overall, while no one wold confuse Quested with Pliny or even Sculpin, it is a nicely-brewed local West Coast IPA. I would drink it anytime.

A: murky mixture of orange and dark yellow in color. 1/2 finger tan head that fades quick. A bit too hazy to be West Coast
S: tangerines, apricots, mango, guava, pineapple. Sweet grapefruit and sweet lemons. Some crackers in this as well. A touch of malt sweetness
T: follows the nose pretty close. Tangy pineapple, apricot, and tangerines. Clementines, mango and some malt sweetness. Some earthy bitterness at the back end, though I would have expected it to be more bitter
M: medium mouthfeel with high carbonation
O: has a few knocks from what I’d expect from a West Coast style IPA, but it is tasty regardless. It’s not a NEIPA, but I’d like a bit more bitterness out of it. Still very tropical and tangy. I’d buy it again
