Okay, these are coconut s'mores stuff. Now pay attention. First, you take the graham. You stick the coconuty chocolate on the graham. Then, you roast the mallow. When the mallow's flaming, you stick it on the chocolate. Then, you cover it with the other end. Smells and tastes like coconut cream pie with brown sugar campfire crust. Stay puft my friends.

I’ll preface by saying; best s’mores stout I’ve ever had and it’s not even close.

Pours and oily, thick black with a finger of mocha head. Nose is marshmallow, vanilla, graham cracker, and milk chocolate. A s’mores lovers dream! Taste follows suit perfectly with a weird but wonderful sweet banana undertone. Feel is silky and smooth, nearly mouthcoating. Overall, excellent.

A big, dark walnut head builds after the pour and ranges from creamy to rocky. This one is very dark brown with muddy highlights. The head quickly falls, leaving little spots of lace on a pint glass.

The aroma is very sweet, filled with graham crackers and rich, chocolate fudge brownies. Alcohol fumes carry Kahlua and light smokiness.

The flavor follows as expected and is somewhat cloyingly sweet. Roasted malt keeps it from going over the edge. The S'mores flavor, in particular the graham crackers, is lost with chocolate fudge dominating.

Unsurprisingly (as this is clearly a pastry stout), this has a dense body. The carbonation is soft and the alcohol is warm and strong. It has the effect of caking one's lips with sugar.

With S'mores Borg, resistance IS truly futile. This is a pleasantly decadent beer. I sipped it beside a crackling fire and found it to be the perfect touch as a vignette with the family on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Thank you Jason.

On draught at the brewery. It's a very attractive pour: almost ink black with a finger of creamy, light mocha head and thick lacing with excellent retention. The nose is big and fragrant and offers coconut, milk chocolate, freshly-brewed coffee, lactose, and roasted nuts. The taste opens very sweet with notes of marshmallow, graham cracker, coconut, and a hint of anise. It really simulates the taste of a s'more. There is very little bitterness. The best aspect of this very good Stout is its mouth feel: it's luxuriously rich and creamy - almost chewy - with low to moderate carbonation, and while the 10% ABV isn't distracting it is definitely warming. Overall, S'mores Borg is a huge, sweet Milk Stout but it does what's intended; it tastes like a s'more. It's a dessert Stout for sure and should be sipped slowly and savored. It's a very good Imperial Stout.
