a: clear straw yellow color with some chill haze and a touch of burnt orange towards the center. 1.5 finger bubbly white head - actually a much smaller head than i'd expect for the style
s: lemongrass and hay. sweet grass and grains. something sugary, and huge crackery note. sweet grains and something almost like....root beer? sweet citrus and lots of clove. cardamom and grass at the end
t: sweet grains and lemongrass. watery generic citrus notes and hay. sweet tea, cardamom, and a hint of white pepper. a bit water with some crackers. very very faint touch of barnyard at the end
m: light, almost watery mouthfeel. low-moderate carbaontion
o: i've always thought Twin Elephant's best style are Saison's. this one falls a bit short. it's billed as a 'Summer Saison' so perhaps it's meant to be a bit lighter in flavor? (if so, the abv is too high IMO), but this doesn't have the funk and earthy notes they usually rock in theirs

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
