At the Cicero location on tap. Clear straw but no head and very little carbonation. Slight bready biscuit smell. Has a little hop bite.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at Stout Beard Brewing as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had wheat wine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp malt base with grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

nice american lager; a very nice lager. all around good beer so maybe I should rate it higher. Makes me plan to go to that brewer soon. Nice aroma, mild but very good flavor, no off putting after taste, just a clean finish. Not for everyone, but if you enjoy a nice lager (beer that tastes like beer to this old guy), this is a good one. Compares well to some of the best lagers I have had from Bell's, Ithaca Brewing and my fave Flying Bison LArkin Lager in Buffalo NY

Clean and fairly crisp, but too plain to be great. I get toast and a little light toffee in the aroma and flavor, but just nothing else. No off flavors, but boring.

Consumed both on tap in Cazenovia, NY, and from a 16 oz. can. Golden hue, with a modest head which disappears. No lacing. Malt-forward with detectable hoppiness for a lager, but with good body and mouthfeel. Overall, a gratifying entrant to the local brewing scene — and a great history. Congratulations to Willow Rock for resurrecting an ancient recipe with a hallowed brand name: Congress. Wish its namesake in Washington were as satisfying.

Honestly this is a damn good lager! Wry smooth and easy to drink with a small hop presence but ver subtle. Super crisp and drinkable!
