L: Had this beer on-tap at Pen Druid, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a 3/4" foamy, off white, fairly long-lasting head. Not much lacing, though.
S: A so-so aroma of malt, yeast, molasses, honey, and chocolate.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of molasses (pretty sweet), some light chocolate notes (could've used more), some honey, a lot of malt, and good shot of wild yeast. An unfocused flavor. There are some good ideas here (the inclusion of honey and molasses), but it's slightly bland and watery. It could have used a shot in the arm.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a sharp finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven beer, but it has its charms. Worth a look.
