6 oz draft pour at Lures Bar & Grille. This is better than the prior Pen Druid wild ales I've had. Initially there's a surprising amount of sweetness, but it's offset by moderate-to-high acidity and lots of funk. Some citrusy notes but I wouldn't call it hoppy. Nice oak notes as well, including a touch of vanilla. Interesting and quite tasty overall.

L: Poured from a bottle to a snifter glass. Had a dark, dirty orange color and a very cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Below average lacing.
S: A pretty good aroma of yeast, citrus fruit, hops, and spice.
T: Tasted of a bit of citrus fruit (orange, though mild), an earthy quality (not off-putting), a little spice (pepper, in particular), some Belgian-style yeast (present throughout, but quite subtle), and a decent amount of hops (considering the style). A focused, slightly sour and sharp flavor. It's favors the yeast and spices more than the fruit, but it still works.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a sharp, dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: In general, this is a well done, likable flavor.Worth a look.
