Taste: Semi sweet dark chocolate malts, molasses notes with a creamy mouthfeel and dry finish. Same with the nose. Brown/black, mostly opaque, tan head with nice lace around the glass. Medium body. Pairs well with the food.

12/30...pours full dark black, still, almost no foam. Chocolatey caramel nose. Dark chocolate. Smooth milk flavored consistency, very light hop to bitter it up. Light roast. Very smooth. Simple porter, made well.

Trying the Iron Horse at the brewery and it is a solid porter. It poured an opaque black with off white head that is leaving a lace. The scent had roast and chocolate. The taste followed suit and was nicely balanced. The Mouthfeel was medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall this is a solid porter.

Bottle at Cedar Point
Served at "room temperature" which was about 85 degrees today. Someone told the server that thats how a porter is served and thats what she believes. I tried and failed to convince her otherwise. Solid black with a huge bubbly tan head that took forever to pour looks infected or over carbonated, but luckily it was neither. Rich caramel and chocolate notes with some solid earth to counter. Tasty.
