Look is hazy yellow with generous sudsy head. Smell is of citrus peels. Taste follows the nose with citrus peel and some gritty malts with a watery finish. Feel is bitter with some grapefruit but not cloying. Surprisingly easy to drink for a citrusy lager but I still prefer noble hopped pilsners on the whole.

330ml bottle served in a pilsner glass. Bottle is dated 01.03.24, which I assume is the best before date, and probably is March, not January. I brought this back from my trip to Europe last month.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a medium to small head, settles into a coarse layer. Smell is grass and bread with a slightly spicy undertone.

Taste is a nice balance of light grain and spicy / grassy hops with a bit of a lemon zip to it.

Mouthfeel is light and airy. Overall...this is really nice.

A tasty pilsner that leans away from the traditional with a slightly fruity/honeyed body rather than the traditional, more floral mean.

It's bright and clear in the glass, with condensation clinging to the outside as the afternoon sun interacts with the cold beer.

Aroma is mild grains, some biscuit and sweetness.

The taste, as noted, is slightly floral, but quite clearly shows there's something more citrusy in there as well. This certainly doesn't detract from the overall experience, but marks the taste down slightly for going against the style. Bitterness perfectly matches the sweet citrus body.

A very refreshing beer and perfect for this old man's body as it recovers from a run (if I pretend there's no alcohol there!).

Cheers
