Bought a bomber of this beer at he brewery in July. The bottle was corked and difficult to uncork but worth the effort.
Poured into a tulip glass. Rich dark brown color with thin beige head but good curtain lacing. Smell and taste of bitter dark chocolate and licorice. The malbec barrel aging give the beer an earthy smokiness which I find appealing. The beer is a bit thin for the 10% ABV but this makes it deceiving drinkable. Nice after hockey beer.
