A full-bodied, golden, Southern German lager. Balanced malt sweetness with slight breadiness shows off a mix of delicate noble hop flavors and aromas.

Canned March 6th. Pour is a clean, clear lager with a light head and layered lacing. Light aroma of biscuit dough. Taste is about a Helles that is about as close you can get to German in this area. Light on the tongue and dry, gentle hops upfront with a smooth malt base. Highly drinkable. Just 5.2% ABV.

Used to live in Connecticut and my favorite lager was "Jack's Abbey House Lager". Moved here to Eugene, OR last June and thought I'd never find a replacement for Jack's.
Well, I was wrong. Rosenstadt's is tremendous. Loads of freshly baked bread and malt up front, followed by a tempering hop bite and a smooth but pleasingly dry finish. No adjunct flavors or aromas, just a perfectly executed Helles. I love these folks!

Slightly cloudy golden body. Crisp noble hops, floral and slight citrus, light crackery malt with a bit of that distinct estery yeast perfuminess. Clean and bready, crisp lighter medium body, medium carbonation. Easy drinker.

Had on tap. Mostly clear golden body, big white head recedes quickly with light lacing in tow. Super bready nose, german yeast with light honey accents star, grassy hops cut lightly. Taste has a doughy complexion with plenty of yeasty and malty lager notes, with fresh cut grass finishing. Feel is lighter and bright yet medium bodied and crisp. The wife liked it. Goes well with charcuterie

From the land of overhopped imperial IPA comes a traditional German style lager. Bright and clear with a straw-yellow hue, lacy head. Very sessionable and now available (locally in Oregon) in six packs at select retailers.

Bottle from ABV.
A clear golden yellow with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks good. The nose is quite excellent. Doughy, soft, bright and with a noticeable bitterness, this is true to style. Honey, a little bread, and dusty, doughy grain character with a sharp, minty, lemony hop note. The palate opens moderately bitter with a blend of oily, resiny lime peel and mint along with earth and dust. A delicate sweetness is present, doughy, grainy and a little raw. The feel is a little rough, particularly the texture, where the high carbonation lends an acidity that doesn't entirely work with the doughy notes, and gives the hops a harsh edge on the finish. Still, this beer is mighty refreshing and is recommended.

On tap:
Clear yellow-gold body. Constant stream of varying sized bubbles pop up to the surface, but only the smaller ones nearer the glass’s edge seem to have any staying power, just enough to sustain a medium thin ring and barely a few spots of lacing.
Floral hops with a light tropical-citrus aspect joins a biscuity to bready malt aroma. Light is the operative word here, spring-like and refreshing.
Taste yields a little more to the citrus floral notes, with an orange zest and biscuity malt opening. A little dry grass cuts underneath, balancing things, but a floral hop lifts above this, slightly sweetening the experience. A moderately aggressive carbonation adds some bite to break up things, and the aftertaste has a very light white peppery sting that seems to fall out from the carbonation.
Comes across as a little more floral-sweet overall, though not so much as to disrupt the light, refreshing nature of the beer.

On tap at Smokehouse Tavern pdx. Golden, clear. White head, quarter inch, fades quickly, no lacing. Light bread bakery aroma. A spice note, my apologies, I recognize it but can't identify it. Very clean flavor, nice balance. Small amounts bread, malt. A Germanic style hop flavor though I suppose its Mount Hood or Liberty. It's very nice especially on a hot day. It's light enough that any problems would really jump out. Very nice example of the style.
