Pour is a coppery amber, light head and lacing. Taste is simple and very German -- light on the tongue with a taste of roasted malt followed with a definite , but controlled, bitterness. A perfect brew for a rainy spring day spent in a German guesthouse.

Route one malty ale. As described, similar to an amber lager. Little flavor aside from nutshell malt and a little hop. Ruddy brown color, bitter hop scent. Big, quick head.

Poured from a can at just warmer than fridge temp. Pours a nice amber/brown with a good amount of fluffy white head. The nose is wine, toffee, big malts, rhubarb, wheat, and a bit of honey. Grassy notes are there as well.
The taste is really smooth. Nice caramel, malts, bread, raisin, honey, and a touch of maple. Lovely beer! Mouthfeel is fairly light and the aftertaste is toffee and malts.
