Perfectly fine for what ails ya. This one is a bandaid on Raul’s thirst. Like the Germans in the the Humphrey Bogart flick“Sahara,” Raul was parched going into this one. But after a sip, Raul is more content than butter on top of an English muffin.
Peace.

Pawn shops are common in the US I recon. Going by TV-shows and movies anyway. Less so in Belgium. There has been one in the centre of Brussels for 400 years. No thats not a clerical error, 400 years. De "berg van barmhartigheid" still operates today, started as a church institution, now under the responsability of the city's social services. This beer commemorates this Brussels institution.
Served in my loyal "Seef" tumbler.
The head immediately filled 2/3 of the glass and persists, with large bubbles in white foam.
Ambient smell is malty sweet.
Beer was golden clear at first. After emptying the bottle, all the bottom goodyness caused it to turn whitish hazy.
Scent is malty sweet: vanilla, malt, cereal, herbs and lemon.
Flavour is subtle: toasted bread, vanilla, lemon with some pepper and slight toffee.
Aftertaste gives much more yeast and is drier. Pepper and toffee also more present. Mouthfeel is a bit more sticky.
Decent and refreshing drink.
