Warchild IPA does not back off, seriously. Aggressive hop flavor and bitterness with dank notes of tropical fruit, pine, concord grape, straw and green pepper are the key markers for this ripped bodied brew.

Another decent IPA, but don't really remember anything about it. After so many years and different beers it' hard to remember them all.

Pours orange with a heavy haze to the translucency. Head is two fingers of white foam with good retention. Aroma is potent grapefruit with tangerine, lemon zest, and biscuit & bready malts behind. Big grapefruit with a light bite. Flavor profile is lead out with grapefruit, and followed by tangerine, lemon zest, and bready malts. Less bite than the nose. Mouth feel is very light effervescence that brings a crisp start that softens to a moderate creaminess at the finish. Thickness is medium. Overall, a rindy grapefruit IPA that's pretty darn solid.

Poured in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 12oz can. Reviewed from notes.

12oz canned on 12/28/2021. Served in a pint glass. Beer is hazy medium to light golden amber, with a pleasantly thick head. Aroma is citrusy with lemon and orange. Flavor has an assertive edge up front with resin and citrus oils, but yields to a surprisingly balanced (West coast IPA) body with only moderate bitterness, good malt backbone, and relative drinkability. Dangerously drinkable for 7.8% abv. A surprisingly good showing for Georgetown in my experience. Not as good as Meowsa, but way better than Lucille and Bodhizafa.

pours an hazy orangey pale, sudsy head with a semi vigorous pour; no lacing.

The smell was very noticeable, upon pouring I got tropical fruit smells. I’m not the best at picking fruits out so I’ll leave it at that. It smells like a tropical island drink, maybe pineapple and orange juice.

The taste is much the same, as I sip it it sort of reminds me of the flavors of Hawaiian Punch. There is also a spritzy like citrus note that makes me think lemon or lime.

Medium body, drinks pretty smooth, not thick or cloying in anyway; low bitterness on the finish but it is there.

12oz can from a 6-pk purchased at a local grocery store for $11.99. Canned on November 23, 2021, per the stamp on the bottom of the can. Another Georgetown beer with a name from Point Break. I'm starting to think they might be fans of that movie.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, this was a semi-hazy shade of amber. Head dropped kinda quick, leaving a decent amount of off-white lace.

Tropical fruit-like hop aroma, and an eentsy bit of crackerish maltiness in the scent as well.

Taste is a bit more vivid than the nose, but is otherwise exactly the same.

Slightly thinner body than I expected. Just shy of medium. Mouthfeel is slightly oily.

Won't replace Johnny Utah, Bodhizafa or Lucille as my favorite hoppy beers from Georgetown, but it's a decent semi-murkster. I'd hit it again.

12oz can (dated 11/1/21) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a very cloudy dark yellow color with2/3 inch of white head that had moderate retention and light lacing.

Lots of bright, bold, citrusy hops hit the front of the nose, with just a light malt base.

Similar on the tongue, just better developed.

The body was a bit lighter than I would have though, just shy of medium, mostly smooth with a touch of coarseness, and had a medium finish that leaned a bit towards dry.

Drinkability was good, I'll have no trouble finishing the sixer.

Overall, another nice brew in the Point Break series. It's not Johnny Utah or Bodhizafa, but is certainly a fine supporting character. Worth grabbing if you see it.

The initial dank hit is very NW but the beer delivers a smooth citrus finish. Mouthfeel and aroma are well balanced. The only thing unbalanced is the ABV which is near a double. Excellent beer.

12oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. Dated 11/11/21. Bought it at the brewery yesterday.

Pours a mostly clear brassy color with a fairly large moderate density head. Plenty of carbonation. Smell is powerful and very nice. Tropical juice, citrus juice, citrus pith, grapefruit zest, pine resin.

Taste is more citrus juicy than tropical, but I might get a little bit of pineapple or mango. I definitely get citrus rind bitterness and a little resin.

Mouthfeel is medium, clean, pleasant. Overall, very nice beer.

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 10/19/21, so pretty darn fresh.

Appearance: medium yellow hue with plenty of haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop. Seems legit!

Smell: lightly sweet and tropically fruity; I'm getting guava and pineapple in the mix, as well as a little citrus. Nice!

Taste: flavor is a little less burstingly fresh than the aroma, but it's still nice. Moderate bitterness, along with tropical flavors and maybe a little bit more piney/resinous character, but it's relatively minor. I dig it.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate carbonation and reasonable creaminess.

Overall: this beer works for me. Kind of like a bitter hazy -- I'm into it.

Light head on a hazy pour, not remarkable. Floral aromas, light and fading away. Taste is very much a NWIPA. It's a well crafted beer, it's from Georgetown after all, but is otherwise unremarkable. It takes a really fine beer to stand out in a sea of good beer.
