Pours an unfiltered deep brown color with a sudsy tan head that dissipates in seconds. The is very centered on rich toffee aromas and booze, and there’s a bit of stone fruit as well.
The taste follows the nose, with the booze jumping in at the front of the palate, yielding to the delicious rich toffee flavor and more pronounced stone fruit flavor mid-palate, then jumping back in at the back of the palate as a substantial alcohol warming.
The mouthfeel is big and chewy as expected with a beer of this gravity. This is definitely a sipper, especially if enjoyed on a cool fall evening.

22oz bottle served in a slightly tulipy wineglass. Label is hand-written on a generic "Tiny Town Series" label.
Pours murky brown with a small head, slow and fine carbonation present and taking its sweet time surfacing. Smell is oak tannins, toffee, dates. Maybe lightly smoked dates.
Taste is sweet toffee and dates, strong presence of oak, something fruity comes out late in the flavor that I can't quite pin down.
Mouthfeel is pretty big, pretty thick, pretty chewy. Overall...it's quite good, but it's not great, though it pains me to say that about one of my favorite local breweries. It feels "inspired by" the Brew x000 series from Fremont. Which is fitting, because I was flitting back and forth between this and a bottle of Brew 8000 before I settled on this.
