A crisp lager beer that has toasty malt notes without being sweet, Tomtober has a spicy and floral hop character with moderate bitterness. Its imported flavor comes from the water treatment that mimics the water profile of the Munich region in Germany. Very clean finish. Contains no tomato.

64oz growler served in a big snifter. Bought the growler at Georgetown yesterday.
Pours a dark amber, clear, biggish head, medium to low carbonation. Smell is lager yeast, grass, something that reminds me of rye, general barley tea-ness.
Taste is almost a candy sweetness, barley and honey in character, , maybe some caramel and a hint of nut. Grass is still there, with a gentle but sufficient bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is medium to thick, not particularly effervescent, a little sticky. Overall...I'm really enjoying this.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the Hillside in Seattle.
Appearance: rich orange hue with just a dash of haze. Head is a finger of ivory foam. I like it.
Smell: mild but well-composed with nice toasty and caramelly notes.
Taste: sweet and caramelly with a nice toastiness. There's a little bit of a biscuity aftertaste but other than that quite good.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body but with a big, smooth creaminess that I really dig.
Overall: a pretty decent Oktoberfest, if a little biscuity for me.

Good representation of the style. Deep orange amber in color. Bready, sweet malt in the nose. Typical flavor profile for style, with very little hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is a bit thin for my concept of the style. Overall a perfectly acceptable Märzen/Octoberfest.

Another brew that I was just going to add has a "Had", but it wasn't listed. I took no notes, so here goes. It seemed pretty typical, with a golden color, a mildly sweet grain scent & taste, smooth body, easy drinkability, and a solid overall presence. I'll try to have it again and do a proper review.
