Yes Cranbee's Knees is back on at the Utica area's best brewery! Here comes a review for this batch:
A- pours a dark orange look with a hint of red tint. Frothy white head that quickly disapates into the body of the brew. A thin trail of foam lingers in the edges while the brew stays dark in the glass
S- boom! Barnyard funk! Amazing blast straw, musty, saison SHAZAM showcases the scent profile. This is the scent I desire in a everyday farm house saison. There is a small theme of sweetness at the backend. So to reiterate.... a mouth watering scent profile
T- clearly the scent was wgoing to lead to this. A funky/fruity flavorful saison that steers away from a bitter experience. Instead, a mild sweet flavor coates the palate leaving a musty banana and even honey taste profile. I get a slight sweet presence that is no doubt the cranberry flavor. The drinkability is off the charts
M- smooth and coating flavor all the way. While there is a slight sting (credit to the bees), the smoothness is incredible
O- is this Hill Farmstead's non barrell aged saison or seriously a brewery in my back yard? This batch of Cranbee's Knees killed it. What an amazing farmhouse Ale!
