A complex malt character that remains dry enough to be highly drinkable. Flavors and aromas of toast, biscuit, and a hint of coffee and chocolate.

Pours a reddish amber with a small head that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma is sweet malt with a mild bitterness from the hops. Taste is light caramel and citrus. Very good Red/Amber ale. I really like the Red/Amber ales 20 IBUs or less. 20 IBUs Rated 9-21-2023

This is truly an exceptional beer. I am so fortunate to savor this in Spokane. I used to buy growlers of it at Prairie Tavern, north of Vancouver,WA. Such an outstanding beer, and I hope you never stop making it.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a tulip glass.
Look- Amber brown, frothy medium cream colored head, moderately hazy, average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Chocolate, biscuit, slight coffee, medium strength of scent.
Taste- biscuit, toasted oats, chocolate, mildly sweet, mildly bitter, medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, average carbonation, mildly sweet, mildly bitter, moderately creamy, mildly dry finish.
Overall- Look was a bit more brown than expected from an amber ale. Bouquet was biscuit with a nice mix of chocolate and coffee. Flavor was a pleasant mix of chocolate balanced with a malt backbone that consisted of biscuit and toasted oat character. Feel was medium in body with a moderate amount of creaminess and a mildly dry finish. Overall this beer was closer to a stout than an amber ale in my opinion, but it was enjoyable.

Look - More brown than amber/red but a tight, substantial head and good lacing helps it
Smell - Some chocolate notes with some floral/soapy notes.
Nondescript malt but with some astringency.
Feel - Medium body, carb release in-line.
Overall an alright beer but they should have kept the name for a rauchbier.

Served in 16oz nonic at Toggles Bottleshop in Everett WA. Poured a clean, clear reddish-amber color with a half-inch of light tan head that had moderate retention and lacing.
The aroma was mostly lightly sweet malts, with a bit of citrus and floral hops.
Same on the tongue, solid grains supporting light hops.
The body was fairly typical, medium, smooth, and a medium-sweet finish.
Drinkability was good, a nice, easy quaffer.
Overall, a nice solid brew. worth trying if you see it.
