From the Barrel Mountain Brewing website: This big, bold beer brings a dessert-like experience with flavors of chocolate and molasses with a smoky/sweet aroma from the smoked malt and real vanilla beans.

Canned 15 Dec 25. Pour is very dark, opaque with light, quickly fading head. Nose is dominated by the vanilla. First sip gives you more vanilla, backed up with dark roasted malt. Can claims the malt has been smoked, but there are no real smoke notes present. Feel is good with ok carbonation and no harshness in the finish. ABV is 9.3% but there's little alcohol burn. Overall, you have an ok stout with a stiff ABV, dominated by the vanilla.

Pours a dark brown in color with a creamy tan head that stays for a while. The mouthfeel is creamy with a taste and aroma of chocolate, roasted malt and vanilla. Not being a Porter/Stout person this quite tasty. Hardly any coffee aroma or taste which is what I dislike about Porters & Stouts. 45 IBUs Rated 2-21-2024
