Named for the elder bitter brother, our pilsner has a rounded bitterness that’s never harsh — much like Bill himself. Bitter Bill’s Pils balances its subtle bitterness with rich, complex maltiness and spice from floral Saaz hops, resulting in an overall crisp, complex and well-rounded Old World-style lager.

Picked this up at Windmill Farms along with four other beers for a Sunday rating, but never ended up getting to them because of work. Instead, waited until Friday to get after them. Was intrigued by this one since I’d enjoyed what I’d had from Bitter Brothers and I mean, come on, I have a beer buddy named, Bill. It had better be good! Poured a golden clear color with three fingers of frothy white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Very good spotty lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled sourdough bread, dry grass, spicy Saaz, sweet grain, corn and hay. Much of the same from the can with an extra little bit of floral. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted similar to the nose, maybe not quite as good. In order got sourdough bread, spicy Saaz, black pepper, sweet grain, dry grass, hay and corn. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Dry, spicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)

Just an outstanding pilsner overall. Will be picking up some more of this very soon. (Overall - 4.00)
