Poured from a mini-growler into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium, golden amber with a half finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus hops, orange, lemon and grapefruit, slightly vegetal. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and lightly dank hops, lemon, grapefruit, yuzu and citrus zest and some grains of paradise notes. Moderately bitter with a nice mixed citrus zest finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess, nice mouthfeel. I stopped by this small brewery while visiting nearby and tried this IPA and their porter. I opted for this IPA because their other one was a hazy, although the bartender thought the hazy would have slightly more bitterness. Glad I got this, I thought the very citrus oriented hop blend was great for a hot day and despite its apparent lack of complexity, it had great character and really hit the spot. I expected to like their porter the better between my two choices, but the porter, while OK didn't charm me. This one did, even with the somewhat lower bitterness than I hope for, which is to its credit. I'd get this again. Glad I stopped here.
