A malt driven American stout low in alcohol but still rich in flavor. Brewed with a variety of roasted malts for a chocolaty, coffee-like finish. Lightly hopped as to not hide the flavor and complexity of the malts.
2-Row, Flaked Oats, Pale Chocolate, Chocolate Wheat, Blackprinz, Black Malt.
Columbus.

On tap at The Blue Stone in Waterbury, VT.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a tight white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like roasted malt, gas station coffee, light charred malt, smoke, and chocolate.
This is only 3.7%, but surprisingly very full-flavored for that low ABV- it's pretty surprising. There's a wonderful creamy chocolate and coffee thing going, with char and smoke bitterness on the back end, as well.
This is surprisingly full bodied, with a great level of drinkability, and a very creamy mouthfeel.
I was wonderfully surprised with this beer- there's so much going on in this very small package.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Sly lace. The aroma had some roasted coffee bean, roasted cocoa bean, light char and a delicate smoke underneath. The flavor leaned to the roasty side with a touch of sweet pretty far underneath. Smoke seems barely there. Nice roasty to char aftertaste with a rugged roasty finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt as projected by the brewer. Overall, drinks like a porter but still has some stout qualities about it. I could have again, I think.
