Our dry-hopped American table sour. 48 hours in the kettle produces a tart and mouth-puckering flavor. The grain bill is reminiscent of a classic German Berliner-Weisse with heavy wheat. We hopped this to a low bitterness with a newer varietal called Caliente. It's then dry-hopped lightly with Citra, Cascade and Lemon Drop hops to bring some tropical flavors into the mix.

Growlette from Winooski Beverage. This was poured into a pokal. The appearance was a ruddy burnt yellow almost pale orange color with a thin foamy to bubbly fizzy sort of head. Messy semi-foamy lace. The aroma takes on some sour to sweet wheat allowing some light citrus/lemon sweet to grassy sweet and bittering tones to come out. The flavor seemed to blend fairly well between the all of the previously mentioned aromas shuffling it all up in the aftertaste and flowing evenly into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with an enormous crushability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt where the brewer intended. Acidity level hit but didn’t burn. Overall, nicely done Berliner weisse with a little bit of Vermont creativity seemingly to assist in bringing down the high levels in acidity burn at this style sometimes produces. I would definitely give this another go preferably in the Summer.
