We brewed this American Brown Ale to lean heavy on Rye malt and Centennial Hops. The beer exhibits spicy and rustic character with some flowery and citrusy undertones. It's brewed to be lighter on the body and hoppier than its cousin the English Brown Ale. Hop meets malt in a perfect balance and presents itself in a unique format. We hope you like it as much as we do.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Mild stringy lace. The aroma opens up with the rye first with a blend of the sweet to the spice of it. Mild earthy to grassy hops slide in to compliment some clean caramel to toffee malts. Further underneath, some floral tones. The flavor brings about a very nicely done blend of the hops, rye malts and caramel malts. Nice well blended clean malty aftertaste flowing into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a really nice sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt appropriate. Rye doesn’t impart expected harshness but seems to just allow a nice balance. Overall, very nicely done American styled brown ale that I could have again.
