Growler to becher pint glass.
The appearance was a sturdy looking burnt semi-dark orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that glistened as it slid off to leave some slight stringy lace running here and there, not sticky.
The aroma had some sweet to floral and spicy meshing of the rye (which is how I like it and shows the fullness of the rye to it's extremity). Light wheat malt came in underneath and then asked the rye to meld very nicely.
The flavor was bent on the rye initially, the sweetness and the floral pulling into each other and blending in its richness to provide a wonderful embracing sort of clean maltiness. Nice sweet floral to rye pushing sort of aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fulfilling sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected by the brewer. Finish was somewhat rye spicy to florally sweet.
Overall, pretty nice rye beer that I would have again.
