Poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy amber color with a finger's worth of quickly dissipating foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Light lace ran here and there, but light.
The aroma had some sweet dried banana qualities, light cinnamon, some clean caramel malts, light roasted nuttiness and a little bit of toffee.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness of the prior mentioned aromatic features and slyly moving on into the aftertaste with some breadiness and nuts at the helm. Banana super scaled back.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a good sessionability about it, nothing distracting (cinnamon seemed only in the beer for aroma and flavor), so zero harshness played any factor on my tongue. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt as projected. Finish leaned into the banana, cinnamon and breadiness.
Overall, I read that they put maple in this, well, to me, at least, I missed that part. Got everything else, but well, it's still a good beer and one that I'd have again.
