Gentle to moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a bright, light amber body with fleeting lacing. Nose of slight funk, slate, some peach(?), a slight floral/herbal/earthy attribute wafting in and out, and a bit of pepper. Taste of slight honey, the floral/herbal/earthy attributes continuing into the flavor profile, and the chardonnay barrel coming through, especially as it warms. Dry, spicy finish with a very nice mouthfeel and overall a great little saison we have here from Northfield, VT. Cheers!
