Good Measure Brewing Co. IPA New England / Hazy

Old school IPA hop aroma. Cascade hops if I was to guess with a light, hazy pilsner style malt body. Definitely in the balance of age-old early 2000's and before IPA's. Crisp, then smooth with a heavy handed malt thing and sweet piney, sour earth hop.

Not bad at all. Though relatively mild it has a good bitterness and a hint of pine. Extremely crushable with it's 6% ABV. I wonder about the IBU's of this brew...

Poured from the tap at Positive Pies in Plainfield, VT into a 16 oz glass. Two fingers worth of foamy head that slowly recedes with good lacing. Pours opaque dull yellow. Subtle & subdued bitterness from hops with equally subtle sweetness; subtle citrus notes too (grapefruit). Tastes more of a New England Pale Ale but good nonetheless.

16 ounce can.
No canning date, but just canned last week and brewery is waiting for labels.
All Vermont New England IPA brewed with VT grown malt from Vermont Malt House
& Hopped with Vermont Chinook & Centennial from Champlain Valley Hops.

Vigorous pour yields a nearly 2 inch pure white head over a nearly bright body with sheeting lacing.

Nose of citrus, with notes of orange juice leading the way.

Taste is citrus with a bit of pine. Finishing with citrus pith and pine resin bitterness.

Very nice, medium to full mouthfeel.

Overall, a beautiful beer with great nose and nice bitterness. Go find this one and you won't be disappointed.

Cheers!
